Something we at Alicia’s Bridal and the Formal House LOVE to participate in is a styled shoot. All we do is lend a dress and maybe a suit, sit back, and watch the magic happen as the photographer, florist, hair/makeup stylists, caterer, venue, rental company, and other vendors collaborate to create something phenomenal! We love styled shoots because they give everyone a chance to show off what they can really do.
Generally the styled shoots are organized by one photographer and maybe an events coordinator. Recently, though, we had the opportunity to participate in a very unique styled shoot! This shoot was coordinated by THREE different photographers! Three photography styles, three creative sets of eyes, three perspectives. The outcome was fascinating. Kestrel Bailey Photography, Andrea Michelle Photography, and Caylie Mash Photography each have their own look, and it’s crazy how much you see that come out when comparing the photos!
Aside from the amazing photography, the styled shoot beautifully captured the work of the various vendors involved. The gowns by Sweetheart, Sincerity, and Lillian West were perfect for the shoot; additionally, we loved the dazzling accessories created by Bel Aire Bridal and local Heidi Hull Designs. Models Jade Adair and Sarah Berghuis (one of our very own bridal stylists!) looked stunning after Hair by Areca and Jade Madison Artistry were finished with them. And Taylor Berghuis was looking very dapper in his suit by the Formal House and cufflinks from Over the Moon Bridal! All of the succulent-inspired props and decor matched together brilliantly, thanks to Erin Land Event Styling & Floral Design, Saltadena’s cake, and Bellingham Event Rental!
It took a lot of people to put this all together. Big thanks to the beautiful Lairmont Manor for allowing us to use their space, and to the natural beauty at Clark’s Point on the coast.
